Bishop Bonny in response to ‘Godforgotten’: “We have again asked Roger Vangheluwe to step away from his office”

“It’s unforgivable.” This is what Bishop of Antwerp Johan Bonny said on Tuesday evening in the VRT’s ‘De Afspraak’ about the abuse within the church. In the special broadcast after the last episode of ‘Godforgotten’, Bonny says that the bishops’ conference has again asked Bishop Roger Vangheluwe to step back from his office. “If he refuses, others in Rome must take responsibility.”
