Birkenstock opens its first regional office for the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
The BeNeLux office in Amsterdam will serve as a hub to strengthen the brand’s presence and commercial expansion in the region, the traditional German shoe manufacturer announced on Friday.
Plans for a regional showroom were announced last year. At that time, Birkenstock took sales in the Netherlands into its own hands again after almost 40 years. Previously, responsibility lay with the multi-brand shoe and sporting goods importer Relaxor. This has been selling Birkenstock products in the Netherlands since 1984 and as the sole sales partner since 2013.
With the opening of a showroom in Amsterdam, the company is now continuing its previously announced strategy to further increase brand presence and sales quality and deepen the relationship with its customers.
