Birkenstock opens its first own physical stores in India.
The German shoe retailer announced at the end of May that it will start with a location in the Select Citywalk shopping center in Saket, New Delhi. Another location in the Indian capital is planned in the DLF Promenade mall in the Vasant Kunj district.
âOur brand has experienced exponential growth in India over the past two years. As such, we are excited to reach new milestones with our robust plans to increase our presence across the country with our first own store in the heart of India,” says Jens Hattab, Regional Managing Director Middle East Africa India at Birkenstock. “Our own store in Delhi strengthens our presence in the country. This is our first own store in the country and therefore the opening is special to increase Birkenstock’s presence in India and reach new heights.”
