Birkenstock has appointed Fabio Ortega Marin to the position of Vice President Wholesale Europe.
Ortega Marin will start his new role at the German sandal manufacturer on October 1, as he announced on Linkedin on Wednesday. He has been with Birkenstock since June last year and currently holds the position of Senior Director Wholesale Commerce Europe.
Before that, he was active at Nike in various positions for almost eleven years, according to his Linkedin profile. He worked for the US sports goods company in Germany and was most recently Category Sales Director Nike Sportswear Central EMEA.
“Together with the team, we will continue to drive our ambitious growth agenda, improve the quality of our sales and lead the transformation processes in all areas of the B2B business,” he said in the post.
