Biopic about late singer Bon Scott is in the works – News Rolling Stone

A biopic about the late AC/DC singer Bon Scott is currently in the works at Australian production companies Halo Films and Protocol Pictures. It has already been decided who will play the musician: According to reports, the young actor Lee Tiger Halley has taken on the main role. The title of the film is “The Kid From Harvest Road”. Filming is expected to begin in early 2025.

AC/DC singer Bon Scott should be shown from a different side

Halo Films’ website states that the film promises to be “a poignant portrayal of the man behind the legend” and: “His journey from a valued but troubled youth to a towering artist is a story wrapped in the threads of magic and passion is interwoven.”

The film is directed by screenwriter Stephen Belowsky and David Vincent Smith. Belowsky explains: “His charismatic figure really inspired me, but what interested me most was his early life, not the caricature we all know from the stage. The teenager who walked the streets of Fremantle. It is a love letter to Fremantle and Bon, reimagined through the eyes of the author.”

A Halo Films spokesperson added: “We are thrilled to embark on this journey to illuminate the early years of Bon Scott. His story is one of resilience, passion and relentless pursuit of his dreams. With this film we want to honor his legacy and inspire audiences with the transformative power of music and determination.”

Lee Tiger Hall is also from Fremantle

Bon Scott died on February 19, 1980 at the age of 33, shortly after AC/DC enjoyed success with their album Highway to Hell. Just like Bon Scott, Lee Tiger Halley also comes from the Australian city of Fremantle. The actor also starred in the new Netflix series “Boy Swallows Universe” – based on the novel of the same name by Trent Dalton. The actor is also known from the Australian comedy series “Crazy Fun Park”.
