Billy Corgan, James Iha and others wished Marilyn Manson a happy 56th birthday.
Some were amazed to see Billy Corgan at Marilyn Manson’s 56th birthday party. Vanessa Alexandra, a friend of Manson’s, posted photos and videos from the Jan. 5 event, which took place “at a bar or restaurant,” presumably in Los Angeles.
Corgan’s presence was surprising given that years ago Manson compared the bald Smashing Pumpkis singer to the cartoon character Charlie Brown. Corgan wasn’t amused. The dispute was only resolved after Manson made a guest appearance at a Smashing Pumpkins concert in London.
Lots of star guests
James Iha, the guitarist of the Smashing Pumpkins, John 5 from Mötley Crüe and Ronnie Radke from Falling In Reverse were also present at the birthday party. The guests sang “Happy Birthday” together in an a capella version without heavy guitars. Marilyn Manson thanked those in attendance for helping him stay sober for four years.
This was also the case on the evening of his 56th birthday. The cake for the pale jubilarian was prepared by the pastry chef in the appropriate colors.
