A first for Madame Tussauds Berlin: Bill and Tom Kaulitz will be the very first twins to be cast in wax – unveiling summer 2026.

A piece of German pop history finds its way into wax: Bill and Tom Kaulitz are the first twin figures to be immortalized in Madame Tussauds Berlin. The Berlin branch of the famous wax museum is making history – because it has never unveiled the images of a pair of twins at the same time.

One commission, 20 artists

Work on the figures has been ongoing since September 2025. Around 20 artists from the Merlin Magic Making Studios in London portray the Kaulitz brothers down to the smallest detail: attitude, style and the charisma that made them pop icons worldwide.

“I already know the feeling of having my own wax figure, but this time it’s completely different,” says Bill Kaulitz. “We are completely different people today and have developed extremely much. Now being immortalized together as twins makes the whole thing even more special.” His brother Tom adds: “We look similar, but we tick completely differently – in style, in charisma, in everything. In the end, making that visible is the crucial point.”

Through the monsoon to the museum

With Tokio Hotel, Bill and Tom Kaulitz became global superstars and influenced an entire generation. Today they stand for individuality, change and the courage to present themselves – and are considered to be fixtures in the entertainment industry beyond music. The brothers are now also playing sold-out halls with their podcast “Kaulitz Hills”, their Netflix series “Kaulitz & Kaulitz” is entering its third season, and from December they will be hosting “Wetten,dass..?” on ZDF.

The project also has a special meaning for Madame Tussauds: “Bill and Tom Kaulitz are a perfect example of how diverse and international German pop culture is today,” says Nadja Troublefield, General Manager of Madame Tussauds Berlin. “With the first twin figures in our exhibition, we are making a strong statement – both artistically and in terms of content.”

Berlin plans to unveil the figures in the summer of 2026. It should be one of the most spectacular highlights of the year.
