Police are investigating what happened.
Fitness athlete Luz maría barrara agatón36, found dead early on Sunday morning at a popular Cancún resort.
At the end of the evening, Agatón, who was on vacation with his family and loved ones, was left alone in the hotel pool area after the others went to bed. After a lesson, he was found in a lifeless pool.
According to police, the possibility of a crime cannot be ruled out. The authorities are now investigating whether the case may be related to threats or an accident in the gym.
Agatón owned a gym in the city of Mérida, which had a sign hung two weeks ago. According to local sources, he removed and destroyed the sign without telling the authority. Agatón was also threatened in 2017 when he was in relation to the former State Prosecutor.
Two years ago, a customer under the disk bar died in the gym owned by a woman. The incident has been accused of the coach’s negligence.
Agatón competed in Bikini Fitness, where he won the Mexican Championship and the Mr Olympia Amateur competition in Spain.
After his career, Agatón spun the hall and sponsored the gymnastics event in his home country in Jukatan.
