De Jong started the first set energetically. The strawberries with whipped cream were hardly ordered, or the Dutchman had already caught the first set with impressive game: 6-1.

In the second set, Kecmanovic started playing a little better and he was able to put De Jong under more pressure. De Jong therefore handed in a service game and found out 4-2. The level of the Dutchman therefore fell visibly. At 5-3 the Serbian served for the set. His Dutch opponent got the chance of a break, but that didn’t happen and so it was 1-1 in sets.

The third set was really swallowing again for De Jong. He handed in his service twice and looked rap against a 4-0 deficit. His Serbian opponent was simply a size too big at that time. The set went to Kecmanovic 6-2. Three sets had already been played after 1.5 hours.

Kecmanovic simply too strong

In the fourth set it went right, but at 3-3 there was the break for Kecmanovic. A harbinger for the elimination of Jesper de Jong. And that also happened: 6-4 and game, set and match.
