After updates in March

In order to be among the top 22 biggest market value winners in the calendar year so far, an increase of at least 15 million euros is necessary. Six professionals from the Bundesliga are taking part, making the German upper house of football together with the Premier League the largest block. However, the one with the biggest jump is active in Ligue 1, only three are 25 years old or older and one player from outside the top 5 leagues is represented.
Jérémy Jacquet, who will move from Stade Rennes to Liverpool FC in the summer for at least 63.6 million euros, received the most significant upgrade worldwide in the March updates. The 20-year-old central defender jumped by 35 million to 55 million euros, thus approaching his base fee. “Liverpool could pay a total of up to 72 million euros for him. That’s why his market value had to more than double,” explained Ronan Caroff, area manager at Transfermarkt France.
Two other players had a 3 in their million plus: FC Barcelona midfielder Fermín López and RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande. Both increased by 30 million to 100 million and 75 million euros, respectively. Barça’s own Fermín joins Liverpool’s Dominik Szoboszlai (+15 million to 100 million) in the elite club of professionals with only 20 players worldwide with a market value of at least 100 million euros.
At the start of the season, after moving from CD Leganés to RB, Diomande was still valued at 1.5 million euros. After three increases in a row, the 19-year-old left winger catapulted himself into the top three of the Bundesliga. “Diomande will be one of the hottest things on the transfer market in the summer,” TM market values coordinator Tobias Kröger is certain and explains: “His speed coupled with his ball control and his one-on-one skills are very rare to find in this form. Due to his outstanding performances in the past few weeks, he has taken another big step and is undoubtedly one of the greatest offensive talents in the world. If he builds on this as the season progresses, the next one could happen “The jump in market value towards the 100 million mark will take place before the World Cup.”

Biggest market value winners 2026: Vuskovic and Kofane in top 10
The second-largest winner of the Bundesliga update behind Diomande and the fourth-most winner worldwide is Luka Vuskovic from Hamburger SV. For the Rothosen, the Tottenham loan, which rose by 20 million to 60 million euros, quickly developed into an absolute top performer and a guarantee that relegation at Volkspark is within reach.
“Vuskovic is an exceptional talent. He is playing an incredible season for his age and is being hunted by the biggest clubs in the world,” said expert Kröger. “The 19-year-old is one of the most dangerous central defenders in Europe and dominates a game with his calmness and robustness. Since he also performs at a very high level technically and shows leadership aspirations at HSV, we can now assume that he can become one of the defining defenders of the coming years.”
Bayer Leverkusen striker Christian Kofane, who is third in the Bundesliga in the top 10 in this statistic, has also recently made a steep rise. The 19-year-old Cameroonian went up by 18 million to 40 million euros. Completing the sextet from the Bundesliga among the 22 biggest winners are Kofane’s teammate Ibrahim Maza (+15 million to 40 million) and Stuttgart’s Jamie Leweling and Ramon Hendriks (+15 million to 40 million and 20 million, respectively). Leweling (25) is also part of the over-25 trio alongside Szoboszlai (25) and FC Villarreal’s Pape Gueye (27; +20 million to 40 million).
While the Bundesliga and the Premier League – Szoboszlai, Mateus Mané (+19.75 million), (+18 million), Rayan Cherki, Igor Thiago and Rayan (all +15 million) – have the most with six players each, Serie A is completely missing from Europe’s top 5 leagues. The Brazilian Série A, on the other hand, is there once. Corinthians talent André, whose star is currently rising, got in with a top score. The 19-year-old shot straight to 16 million euros – one of the highest starting market values ever on Transfermarkt.

This is how transfer market market values work
The transfer market market values are created taking into account various pricing models as well as a strong involvement of the transfer market community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values cannot generally be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but rather an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this will be here listed. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for a detailed definition of market value).
