FC Bayern celebrated their eighth win in their ninth game in the Bundesliga. The women of 1. FC Nürnberg were clearly shown their limits.
The FC Bayern women had 1. FC Nürnberg completely under control on Tuesday evening. On the 9th matchday and at the beginning of the English week, the reigning champions achieved a 5-0 (3-0) win against the promoted teams. Linda Dallmann (9th), Pernille Harder (9th, 41st), Klara Bühl (61st) and Natalia Padilla-Bidas (70th) scored in the Max Morlock Stadium in Nuremberg. The 6-0 in the last minute came thanks to an own goal from Beatrix Fördös (90th + 1).
Double pack from Pernille Harder
The Munich team started the game at high speed, the first XXL chance came in the fourth minute, but Linda Dallmann hit the post. Just five minutes later, the midfielder came back into action and gave Munich the lead (1-0). Pernille Harder scored the other two goals for FCB – once after a clean pass from Klara Bühl, and on her second goal she was able to nod Katharina Naschenweng’s ball into the net.
FCN couldn’t take advantage of opportunities
The performance of last year’s double winners was by no means flawless – however, major mistakes, including by Georgia Stanway, went unused by the club women. There was little offensive from the Nuremberg team, and they also left themselves with big gaps in defense. Klara Bühl took advantage of this in the 61st minute, chasing the ball after a pass from Stanway to make it 4-0. The bitter conclusion from Nuremberg’s point of view was the 5-0 by Natalia Padilla-Bidas and an unfortunate own goal that Beatrix Fördös missed during an attempt to clear the score (6-0).
