Amsterdam – Students who receive an internship allowance have suffered a decline in purchasing power. Although their compensation increased between 2016 and 2023, it has not kept pace with inflation. This is evident from research by the Central Planning Bureau (CPB). However, the number of MBO and HBO students who receive an internship amount has increased from 56 to 65 percent.
