Reneé Rapp has canceled a third appearance on her current tour – this time the concert scheduled for Wednesday (October 29) in Charlotte, North Carolina. The reason is an ongoing illness that caused the singer to lose her voice, according to her own statements.
After already rescheduling the performances in Atlanta and Tampa to November 4th and 5th, the Charlotte show will now also be postponed to November 7th.
“I’m slowly recovering, but I don’t have a voice yet”
“Right now I still don’t have a voice,” Rapp wrote in one on Tuesday evening (October 28). Instagram story. “I’m slowly recovering but am still unable to safely perform at my hometown concert tomorrow night – I’m so sorry and heartbroken that I have to postpone.”
The singer emphasized that all original tickets remain valid for the new date.
She added:
“I want to reiterate that I know how much time, effort and preparation it takes to attend a show. I promise you it won’t go unnoticed. I’m using this time to recover and next week I’ll show you the best version of me – the show you deserve.”
First tour postponements of her career
Rapp had already announced on Sunday (October 26) that she would have to postpone her performances in Atlanta and Tampa – the first time ever that she had to cancel dates.
“I fought through an illness but my body finally gave up,” she wrote. “My doctors have told me that it is not safe to perform due to the vocal rest and physical recovery needed.”
Tour continues in Australia and Europe in 2025
After catch-up dates in the US and a break over the holidays, Rapp will be back on stage starting January 31st in Melbourne, Australia. Several tour stops in Europe will follow in March 2026, including concerts in Berlin and Cologne.
The current “Bite Me” tour began on September 23rd at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver. The album of the same name was released in August 2024 and is the follow-up to her acclaimed debut “Snow Angel” from 2023.
The single “Leave Me Alone,” which Rapp performed live at the American Music Awards last year, is one of the highlights of the new record.
