Bielefeld (dpa) – Bielefeld’s record goalscorer Fabian Klos, who was seriously injured in the head, has undergone surgery.
The operation on the 34-year-old went “without complications”, said the Bundesliga soccer club. Klos is “fully conscious.”
The striker sustained the serious head injury in a violent collision with his team-mate Alessandro Schöpf in the Bundesliga game against VfB Stuttgart. Arminia is missing Klos indefinitely. He leaves the club in the summer. “Fabian Klos would like to thank everyone for the recovery wishes that have reached him and his family in the last few days,” said the Arminia statement.
