Biden had reappeared in public just days ago after nearly a week of isolation. After testing positive for the first time, he was treated with the antiviral drug Paxlovid from pharmaceutical company Pfizer.
According to the president’s personal physician, Kevin O’Connor, the president is not showing any symptoms. In a statement released by the White House, O’Connor blamed the positive antigen test on the drug the president was being treated with. A small percentage of patients test positive again a few days after treatment with the drug.
