Last winter, France’s Olympic biathlon champion Océane Michelon proved in a most impressive way that her successes in the 2024/25 season were not a flash in the pan. This pays off for the 24-year-old in the form of a new sponsorship contract, among other things.

Océane Michelon has literally had her two Olympic victories this year gilded. The Frenchwoman has been officially a partner of the world-famous car manufacturer Alfa Romeo since this week. The company announced the collaboration on social media on Wednesday.

“This partnership is the story of a shared movement towards excellence, both on the road and on the ground. Welcome to the Oceane adventure!” wrote Alfa Romeo in a short video in which the biathlete presented her new company vehicle.

Biathlon star on the rise

Michelon definitely deserves the additional income. The 24-year-old has only been taking part in the World Cup since January 2024. She is now not only a two-time Olympic champion, but also a world champion. She also won a silver medal at the Olympics and the World Cup.

The Frenchwoman already indicated in the 2024/25 biathlon season that she could take part in the concert of the greats. Including the World Cup, she finished in the top 10 in 13 individual races and was on the podium twice, including in the World Cup mass start. She also established herself in the French relay, where the grapes are known to hang particularly high.

In the winter of 2025/26, Michelon continued its upward trajectory unabated. Although she occasionally had a few outliers, with her victory in the Olympic mass start and second place in the Olympic sprint, she impressively showed that she is a biathlete for the big stage.
