Quartet for Austria
The ÖSV is sending a quartet into the race. Tamara Steiner wears the early starting number five, Anna Gandler wears 29, Anna Andexer starts 47th and Lea Rothschopf wears the 73rd.

Will a French woman win?
The Olympic Games were the games of the French women, they clearly dominated the competitions. One of them, Lou Jeanmonnot, wants to take another step towards the overall ranking today. The woman in yellow leads from Suvi Minkkinen, but the Finn is already 202 points behind. Anna Magnusson from Sweden is currently in third place. In addition to the French, Minkkinen and the Swedes, Lisa Vittozzi and Maren Kirkeeide are also among the favorites. The favorites will then take to the track from start number 40.

The Germans after Preuß’ career ended
A German quintet is competing in the individual competition today. Selina Grotian has start number 14, Julia Tannheimer will take to the track one minute after her teammate. Vanessa Voigt follows in 22nd place, Janina Hettich-Walz wears number 34 and Marlene Fichtner will be the last German to take part in the individual race with start number 57. After Franziska Preuß’ career ended, the attention was spread more among everyone and a new German figurehead was being sought.

Final spurt of the season
Final spurt of the season! After the Olympic Games and a little well-deserved break, we continue with the World Cup in Kontiolahti, Finland. It is the third-to-last stop of the season: After that, Otepää in Estonia awaits before the World Cup final takes place at Holmenkollen in Oslo from March 19th to 22nd. Today, however, the individual over 15 kilometers is up for grabs.
