At 1:59 p.m., the fans on the Holmenkollen sent their dominator to the last time for the last time. Bö, who announced his end of his career a few weeks ago, started in the red jersey of the best in the season in this discipline – and he left no doubt that he would retire with this jersey.

Laegreid can no longer get on the last round

Bö, whose brother Tarjei will also quit, ran very strongly, remained flawless in the first shooting and was lucky in the second attack when he fired his shots with intervals of 1.3 and 1.4 seconds and just overturned the windows in two cases. And for years it has been practically clear with such a process that Bö will win.

The only one who still contested this success was his team -mate Sturla Holm Laegreid, who also remained flawless and went to the final round with a gap of 11.5 seconds. But against Bö, the 28 -year -old had no chance – in the end he “only” ranked second, the gap to the man of the day was 25.7 seconds in the end. Behind him, Johannes Dale-Skjevdal (+36.7 seconds), Isak Frey (+46.6) and Vebjoern so nerum (+59.8) ensured a five-axis victory by the Norwegians.

Strelow manages the top ten

The hosts dominated on the home route – the sprint qualification for the German team did not go well at all. The fact that it did not become completely bitter was just because of Justus Strelow, who was able to secure a place in the top 10 with two flawless quick-fire inlays. As a eighth, the 28-year-old had a gap of 1: 14.4 minutes on Bö because he crashed shortly before the finish.

“This is annoying, but still a good result. We had really strong material today, it was really fun. I hope that I will collect two Norwegians in the persecution, maybe we can disturb their party a little”said Strelow in the Sportschau interview.

Too many mistakes in standing shooting

Otherwise, no DSV athlete made it into the front field – which was mainly due to the desolate services in standing shooting. Roman Rees and Philipp Horn limited their damage with a mistake, Philipp Nawrath, David Zobel and Johannes Kühn narrowly kept their way after flawless lunch attacks. And Danilo Riethmüller was still (four in total) after three mistakes, and Simon Kaiser also shot three times a total of three times.

In places, this meant: Rees was 14. (+1: 32.4 minutes), Nawrath 16. (+1: 36.5), Horn 18. (+1: 41.1), Kühn 25. (+1: 51.9), Zobel 30. (+1: 58.2), Kaiser 47.

“Justus in the top 10 is always good, we always want to be there. Standing we have given better placements”said head coach Tobias Reiter in the Sportschau interview. “We have spoken a lot about this in the past few weeks and we have a plan for the next season. The boys are all going well if the intensity is not so high – if it is high, the boys have their problems.”
