BFC Dynamo is aiming to return to paid football after 31 years.

On the 36th matchday of the Regionalliga Nordost, the former series champion of the GDR Oberliga can hardly be taken away from the title after a 1-1 (1-0) draw at Union Fürstenwalde with a six-point lead and a better goal difference. There, VfB Oldenburg can also complete the championship early at the weekend.

In front of more than 2000 fans in the Friesenstadion, Andor Bolyki gave the visitors the lead after 33 minutes. Valentin Rode equalized ten minutes before the end.

The champions of the Regionalliga Nordost play against the champions of the Regionalliga Nord for promotion to the third division. There, VfB Oldenburg can make the championship perfect at the weekend. For the BFC Dynamo, the rise would be the first participation in all-German professional football, since the Berliners could not qualify for the first and second division in the last season of the DDR-Oberliga.

On May 28, the champion of the REgionalliga Nordost has home rights against the title holder of the Regionalliga Nord. The second leg will take place on June 4th. Kick-off and transmission times have not yet been determined.
