Beyoncé releases “Grown Woman” for streaming for the first time

After ten years, her fans can now access the song on streaming platforms.

On Wednesday, December 13, Beyoncé celebrated the tenth anniversary of her self-titled album. Reason enough for the pop icon to make her followers happy.

Suddenly she was there

On December 13, 2013, Beyoncé joined the iTunes plan without any prior notice. She released 14 tracks and no less than 17 accompanying music videos. Some songs like “Partition” and “Haunted” got two clips to give them proper credit. The videos were each given two different names – but they are still dedicated to the same song. In addition to “Haunted” you can also find “Ghost”, the second film recording for “Partition” is called “Yonce”. There was also a bonus video clip for the song “Grown Woman”, which was not available as a pure audio file until then.

For a full decade, Beyoncé fans had to make do with “Grown Woman” as a music video version on YouTube and Co. – the track was not available to stream. But on December 13th, her work appeared on all common streaming platforms. The singer celebrated her album anniversary for the second time – after an amusing video montage Instagram.

The Afrobeats single “Grown Woman” was written by a team of creative minds – including Beyoncé herself, as well as The-Dream, Timbaland, Kelly Sheehan, Garland Mosley, Chris Godbey and Darryl Pearson. Timbaland and J-Roc took over the production.

“Grown Woman” is available to stream now, but be careful, it’s a little hidden. If you can’t find the track, don’t despair. The ten-year-old piece was placed where it was created in time. It can now be found on Spotify as BEYONCE’s first single, right behind her 2011 release “Countdown”. The release date also seems a bit misleading, as it says December 13, 2013.
