While the betting investigation in Turkish football continues, there was a remarkable development regarding Ali Palabıyık. Palabıyık, within the scope of the betting investigation carried out by the Turkish Football Federation; He worked as a referee within the TFF for the last 5 years and was referred to PFDK after it was determined that he was betting on football. “Just now, during the Now Spor broadcast, I received an e-mail from the TFF Legal Consultancy Office. Using my TR ID information, I saw that coupons were made on the platform of Iddaa, which I do not know which virtual dealer it belongs to, from leagues, many of which I cannot even say or have heard of.
I see that 12 coupons were made for November 2022 and 1 coupon was made for December 2022.
Even the matches included in the coupons seem to have been deliberately compiled by selecting teams from all over the world.
Coupons were played on 7 November, 25-26-28 November and 14 December.
While I was wondering why such a conspiracy was wanted to be established on these dates, I refereed the G.Saray-Alanyaspor match on October 23, 2022. I also received many threats after the match. After receiving hundreds of threatening messages, I even had to change my mobile phone number at that time. 15 days after that match, I became a member of a virtual dealer with my ID number and these strange coupons were made. I had to get my new phone number on November 16, 2022.
While the TFF Legal Consultancy has experienced accounts being opened without the knowledge of many referees using their ID numbers during the first betting announcement period, it is very significant that they behaved in a way that damaged my reputation regarding the same issue.
I was in America for 4 months to complete my Green Card process. I am returning to Türkiye due to these events and my father’s illness.
I will make the necessary applications to the Department of Combating Cyber Crimes and TFF through my lawyers. I will seek all my legal rights to the end against this unfair lynching. I will also take the necessary steps to bring justice to those who took advantage of this statement by TFF on social media.
