Betiana Bradas: Coming from an artist with essence – Brand

Betiana Bradas is an artist who does not conform to what is established. Her work is a constant challenge to the limits between the figurative and the abstract, between the geometric and the organic, between the monochromatic and the chromatic. Her search is to find the essence of the forms, emotions and memories that inspire her.

In her new artistic exhibition “De Venir”, Bradas shows herself completely in her works, which are the result of her evolution as a person and artist since she came into contact with art. Betiana’s childhood, between her mother’s crafts, seamstress aunts and her turner father, a lover of iron, influenced her choices, which brought her the use of natural canvas and sheet metal as a support for her sculptures. Yellow, also rooted in her place of origin, where her father used to Painting the arches of the entrances with the energy of that color becomes a fundamental element of her palette. Her works are conceived as a continuous process of formation and transformation, similar to how Betiana herself evolves with each series.

The exhibition presents a series of sculptures and drawings that reflect his creative process and his transformation as an artist, materializing his entire process of change in his pieces. Devenir is composed of 2 sculptures, 9 paintings, 6 small-format works on paper and three silkscreens, where each piece has its own identity and a story to tell. The drawings, for their part, are organic expressions that arise from experimentation with different materials and techniques, such as graphite, acrylic, collage and engraving. All the pieces in a reality understood as a process of change; His visual language is the search for his own, his inner self, which expresses his future.

The exhibition “De Comer” can be visited until November 18 at Valk Gallery, a space dedicated to design, art, and printing, located at Miñones 2332, in the Belgrano neighborhood Miñones 2332, in the Belgrano neighborhood.
