BetBoom dominates group stage of Dota 2 Riyadh Masters

BetBoom confirmed their lead in the group stage of the Dota 2 Riyadh Masters with a 2-0 win over TSM. The Eastern European team sits at the top of Group B with six wins and one loss.

After the unfortunate events for BetBoom at the Bali Major, which saw Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko disqualified, the team was able to return to Riyadh at full strength. The gap to second-placed Team Liquid is large. The Western European team claimed three wins and shares second place with Team Aster from China.

Quest Esports did win Group A, but not as clearly. The team reached the top of the group with just two wins and five draws. Close behind is Gaimin Gladiators with German player Erik “tOfu” Engel. The champion of the last three major tournaments also only had two wins, but lost a series against 9Pandas.

Tundra Esports just barely made it to the playoffs. In two tiebreaker games, the world champion defeated the two North American teams TSM and Shopify Rebellion.
