In recent years, the betting offices have proven that their estimates are often in the direction. In 2019, 2022 and 2023 they predicted the winner for the final correctly. Yet it remains an estimate: last year Croatia was seen as a favorite, but Switzerland finally took the victory.
Enkhuizen had long been convinced
But the large international betting offices are not the only ones who expect Claude to be very high in Switzerland. His fellow townspeople in Enkhuizen immediately saw potential in the song. “It starts at first calmly and emotional, then it gets really cheerful. That is typically Claude”, Thus a former classmate.
“He sings in French and in English, that is smartly done with a view to the international public,” says another. “Better than we arrive with a sawn -out Dutch number.”
Claude was classified in the first semifinal in Basel on 13 May. He then fights with fourteen other countries for one of the ten final tickets.
