Selected Femme/Homme launches a dress made from half Cycora.
For the dress made of regenerated polyester, the fashion brand worked with the materials research company Ambercycle worked together, said the brand, which belongs to the Danish clothing group Bestseller, on Thursday. Cycora is a regenerative material that is produced by processing textile waste and has properties similar to those of conventional polyester.
“Companies like ours that have ambitious sustainability goals and commitments need to continuously support innovation in ‘fiber-to-fiber’ recycling to make it a real reality. Ambercycle has a unique technology that uses molecular regeneration that is less energy dependent compared to other recycling processes,” says Camilla Skjønning Jørgensen, Innovation Manager at Bestseller.
The printed summer dress consists of half Cycora and 50 percent recycled polyester. The limited edition is available from Thursday in the brand’s online shop and in selected stationary stores in Denmark.
