“Best of Wim Wenders” box set as Blu-ray

To mark the release of the “Best of Wim Wenders” special edition of ten 4K restored films on December 12th, ROLLING STONE is giving away a Blu-ray box set to all participants.

For the limited edition, which will be released as a DVD and Blu-ray box, the director personally selected ten of his works from five decades, restored in 4K. The thriller “At the End of Violence” has its Blu-ray premiere in this edition.

Filmmaker for 50 years

Wim Wenders is the central figure of the New German Film, a film movement in the Federal Republic of Germany during the 1960s and 1970s. Born in Düsseldorf in 1945, he made a name for himself internationally with films such as “Paris, Texas” and “The Sky Over Berlin”.. His films are known for poetic depictions of landscapes, a calm aesthetic and a profound examination of human relationships and questions of identity.

Wenders has been honored with numerous awards, including the Palme d’Or for “Paris, Texas” and Oscar nominations. He was also President of the European Film Academy from 1991 to 2020, which will honor him for his life’s work this year. His films are known for poetic depictions of landscapes, a calm aesthetic and a profound examination of human relationships and questions of identity.
