Vasco da Gama, one of the well-established clubs of Brazilian football, has clarified its transfer policy regarding the left-back line. Black-and-white Beşiktaş’s offer of 4 million euros for 25-year-old Lucas Piton was rejected by the Vasco management as it was deemed insufficient.
According to the news reported by Brazilian press Globo, although Vasco does not consider any of its players as “unsellable”, it plans to dispose of Piton, one of the indispensable players of coach Fernando Diniz’s first 11, but only for a much higher transfer fee. It was emphasized that the management would not approve the sale unless an alternative of the same quality was found to replace the player.
Drawing attention with his contribution to the attack, Lucas Piton became one of the prominent left-backs of Brazilian football, scoring 1 goal and making 11 assists in 55 matches for Vasco da Gama this season.
