This year, Berliner Modemarke GmbH won the FCG/Vogue Fashion Fund, awarded by the German Fashion Council (FCG) and Vogue Germany magazine. The award ceremony took place on Thursday in the capital.

According to a statement from the FCG, the label, founded in 2016, prevailed against the six remaining finalists: Balletshofer, Gerrit Jacob, Haderlump Atelier Berlin, Kitschy Couture, Laura Gerte and Lou de Bètoly. The prize was awarded for the second time. The first winner in 2024 was the Berlin designer Kasia Kucharska.

FCG CEO Scott Lipinski explained the decision of the expert jury. “We are proud to choose GmbH, a winning label that shows that contemporary design from Germany has met with a global response,” he said in a statement. “Serhat Işık and Benjamin A. Huseby have created an unmistakable world with their label – precise in their craftsmanship, consistent in their attitude and self-confident in their aesthetics. It is precisely this quality that we want to make visible and further support with the FCG/Vogue Fashion Fund.”

Kerstin Weng, Head of Editorial Content at Vogue Germany, also recognized the winners: “GmbH has impressed, and consistently, for many seasons and at various levels,” she explained. “They reflect the spirit of the times and what many people are currently concerned about, but not as a result of a strategic decision, but rather as a result of a personal and empathetic conviction. Their fashion is modern, high quality and stands for itself. You can feel the passion and authenticity in every single design.”

According to the FCG, fashion designers and labels that are based in Germany and have existed for at least two and a maximum of 15 years can take part in the competition for the sponsorship award. The prize money for the most recent edition was 50,000 euros. According to a statement, the winner will also receive “a comprehensive business mentoring program with leading industry experts as well as the production of their own fashion show for Berlin Fashion Week in summer 2026.”
