Berlin label Ottolinger in the final of the young talent award

Ottolinger is one of the finalists of the French young talent prize Andam Fashion Award 2022. The Berlin label is in the final of the main prize together with Botter, Lukhanyo Mdingi, Peter Do, Cool TM, Heliot Emil and Robert Wun, reports the specialist magazine WWD.

Behind Ottolinger are the Swiss Christa Bösch and Cosima Gadient, who presented their first collection in January 2016 and were in the semi-finals of the LVMH Prize in 2018. Ottolinger stands for deconstructive fashion and playing with gender roles in women’s fashion. The label shows the collections during the Paris Fashion Week.

It will be announced on June 30 which of the finalists will ultimately win the race for the EUR 300,000 prize money. For the first time, the label in second place is also awarded a special prize of 100,000 euros. Should Ottolinger convince the jury, the label would have to set up a company in France this year – this is one of the requirements of the competition.

Benjamin Benmoyal, Bluemarble Paris and Boyarovskaya have qualified for the Pierre Bergé Prize. The prize, which focuses on young French companies, rewards the winning label with 100,000 euros.

13 09 SR, Ancuta Sarca and Dolly Cohen, meanwhile, have qualified for the Accessories category final. The best accessory label receives a prize of 50,000 euros.
