Benaissa Benamar after FC Volendam basic debut: “I felt the trainer’s confidence”

Brand new acquisition Benaissa Benamar was allowed to start directly in the base tonight from FC Volendam trainer Wim Jonk. The defender completed the ninety minutes against NAC Breda (0-0), although he was on his gums in the last minutes.

The FC Utrecht mercenary immediately said yes when Jonk asked if he felt fit enough to play. “I want to make minutes as quickly as possible and I felt the confidence of the trainer.”

In comparison with the duel against Telstar (2-1) trainer Wim Jonk changed his basic formation in four places. Mike Eerdhuijzen, Calvin Twigt, Kevin Visser and Ibrahim el Kadiri ended up on the bench. In addition to Benamar, Franco Antonucci, Walid Ould-Chikh and Boy Deul were also allowed to start in the base.

The conversions did not have the desired result. FC Volendam played sloppy for large parts of the match and did not score for the first time in a long time.
