Stéphanie Huang advances to the final of the Queen Elisabeth Competition. She is the only Belgian candidate in this year’s prestigious music competition for cello. The organizers of the Queen Elisabeth Competition announced the twelve finalists shortly after midnight on the night of Saturday to Sunday.

This is only the second time that the cello has taken center stage in the Queen Elisabeth Competition. In 2017, the Frenchman Victor Julien-Laferrière was the first laureate to win the competition for cello.
This year’s final will take place on June 4.
