Belgian scientist hacks Elon Musk’s Starlink: $25 in material, $12,000 in reward

KU Leuven security researcher Lennert Wouters didn’t need much to hack Starlink’s satellite dish. Thanks to a circuit board that costs about $25, a heat gun and “a lot of patience” he was able to access underlying systems. Elon Musk’s company is full of praise: “We find the attack technically impressive.” Wouters also received a reward of $12,000 for it.
