WNBA has decided to expand its championship with a thirteenth club that can play next year: the Golden State Valkyries. An ‘expansion draft’ was set up to put together the core. On Friday, the Golden State club was able to select players that other WNBA teams had made available.
“Washington Mystics will always be the club that gave me the opportunity to show the world what I can do. I have mixed feelings about leaving DC this summer, but at the same time it is exciting. Hard work has opened doors for me and I will never forget my rookie season,” Vanloo said on social media.
The Belgian Cat averaged 7.4 points, 1.6 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game in her first season in the WNBA this year. The 2025 regular draft will take place on April 14, with the WNBA season officially starting on May 16.
