Coach Doll’s club
FC Hansa Rostock and leading player Hanno Behrens are going their separate ways after a year. As the club from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania announced on Monday, the 32-year-old midfielder is leaving coach Jens Härtel’s team. Behrens is moving to Persija Jakarta in the first Indonesian league, where ex-national player Thomas Doll is his coach. Both clubs have agreed not to disclose the transfer terms.
Behrens joined FC Hansa a year ago and has played 29 competitive games since then. “Our number 17 is leaving the cog,” confirmed Hansa via Twitter. With five goals and six assists, Hanno Behrens had “a large part” in the Rostock team remaining in the league.

“An opportunity has now opened up for me that at my age you might never get again. That’s why I decided to embark on the adventure abroad. It was a very nice season for me in Rostock with sensational victories. I’ve always worn the Hansa jersey with a lot of pride and tried to do my best every second on the pitch,” said Behrens about his transfer.
Thank you for your commitment, Hanno Behrens! Our number 17 disembarks the cog. With five goals and six assists, the 32-year-old midfielder played a big part in staying up. We wish Hanno all the best in his private and sporting life! #thanks #hansa pic.twitter.com/wL50Hvi0e2
