Artist Rita Behm tells in Radio Nova’s podcast how seven Emma posts were too much for her.
Rita Behm, stage name Behm, won no fewer than seven Emma awards at the 2021 Emma gala. Seven would be a lot even for an experienced artist, but Behm himself was a rookie artist at the time, who had released a debut album The arc of the drama is fascinating.
Behm says Esko Eerikäinen in the interview on Radio Nova’s podcast The mothers were a direct shock to him.
– And I won’t say that it was a good shock, it was perhaps too much. I wouldn’t have wanted so many (Emmas), says Behm.
– No matter what you do after that, nothing will ever be enough to lift you up.
Behm didn’t expect to get seven Emmas and it wasn’t a “lottery win” for him.
– I got the feeling that no matter what I do, I’m a huge disappointment.
While making the upcoming album, Behm began to have crises and, according to his own words, make wonderful songs.
– They were strange songs that I didn’t want to listen to.
Behm finally got over it by having a crisis, as he himself expresses it.
– Now I’ve gotten over it. I think that I just have to get into the same state as when I made the first record. So I do what I want.
