FC St. Pauli has achieved an important and rare home win in the relegation battle of the Bundesliga. In the 1-0 (0-0) against the 1899 Hoffenheim, the Hamburgers benefited on Friday evening from a bad pass from TSG goalkeeper Oliver Baumann, who enabled the winning goal of Noah Weißhaupt (51.).
Baumann is with Alexander Nübel (VfB Stuttgart) in a duel for the place in the goal of the German national team. National coach Julian Nagelsmann wants to commit to the upcoming Nation League quarter-finals against Italy (20th and 23rd March).
