Football and beer belong for many supporters. Yet fans notice that their beer in the stadium is becoming increasingly expensive. This applies to the Eredivisie and the Kitchen Champion Division. But in most Brabant football stadiums you are still cheaper than in the stadiums outside our province.
Since 2025, half a liter of beer under six euros is almost nowhere available. Only at FC Eindhoven will that work. There you pay 5.63 euros for a beer. NAC, FC Den Bosch, PSV, Helmond Sport and Top Oss are now all above six euros, but are cheaper than most clubs in the rest of the country. This makes Brabant more friendly for the thirsty football fan than many other regions.
Most stadiums nowadays demand more than 6.30 euros for half a liter of beer. The national average is even around 6.60 euros. The Johan Cruijff Arena takes the crown with 7.25 euros, followed by ADO The Hague with a beer price of 6.94 euros.
These are the beer prices per half liter in the Brabant stadiums:
- FC Eindhoven: € 5.63
- FC Den Bosch: € 5.70
- Top Oss: € 6.14
- Helmond Sport: € 6.25
- Willem II: € 6.50
- NAC: € 6.30
- PSV: € 6.30
Inflation
It also depends on which competition you are going. The prices are on average a bit higher in the Eredivisie. Clubs such as PSV, PEC Zwolle, SC Heerenveen and FC Groningen are all around 6.30 to 6.50 euros. In the Kitchen Champion Division you often come across prices around six euros. For example, you can get a beer at FC Eindhoven, VVV Venlo and FC Emmen.
Top Events Group, which organizes the catering for, among others, FC Den Bosch and NAC, indicates that the breweries always increase the price in January. “The purchase of products and raw materials is becoming more expensive, also for them,” he explains. Because the catering company finds it strange to change the prices in January, halfway through the football season, they do that at the start. At PSV, too, thirsty fans must now be a bit deeper into the pouch due to increased costs, then it concerns costs for energy, catering and security.
Smaller wallet
Football must be a party of the people, and so football clubs indicate that they are now becoming more expensive, to keep competition visits accessible to a wide audience. This is how NAC works with family rates and flexible tickets.
At FC Den Bosch they try to keep the prices of season tickets relatively low, “compared to the prices at other clubs,” said a spokesperson for FC Den Bosch. Actions are also organized for target groups with a smaller wallet to make the stadium visit possible for them.
RKC Waalwijk did not respond to questions from Omroep Brabant about beer prices in the Mandemakers Stadium. That is why the beer prize of this Brabant club is missing.
