Franco Antonucci is now in his third period at FC Volendam. The midfielder has been in Volendam for a few weeks now. He feels that he has ended up in a warm bath and that the selection is stronger than before. “This year we are more of a group with more captains.”
The midfielder came over from Feyenoord in the winter break, but is not yet playing the tiles of the roof. According to trainer Wim Jonk, this is because he has been ill for ten days. No corona, just a severe flu.
The trainer has not yet had full access to him, but has noticed that he is really an added value. “I see the old Antonucci in training every day. The first game he did excellent.”

In conversations with the trainer, Antonucci felt that Jonk has new plans with the mercenary. The creative midfielder may be transformed into a versatile player who can play multiple positions in the midfield. “I prefer to play higher, but I want to train lower. Because that can help in the future.”
