Swedish actor Lennart Hjulström has died at the age of 83. He was especially known for his role Beck-in crime dramas.
Hjulström’s death is told by his children Carin, 58, and Niklas, 60, on social media. Both published the same picture and caption of their father:
– Our beloved father and husband has fallen asleep after an illness. Missing is endless. Thanks to the staff of Mälarbacken nursing home, Carin and Niklas are writing.
Hjulström was married to actress Gunilla Nyroos, 76. The couple got married in 2007 after dating since the 1980s. They have a daughter together Hannah. Carin, Niklas and their brothers Frederick are from the man’s previous marriage.
Hjulström had a long career as an actor and director. He is especially remembered for the popular ones Beck-TV movies, in which he played Gavling, the emperor of the Stockholm underworld.
His last role was in a movie released in 2017 The Poacher.
