THEA aesthetic medicine is a real obsession, especially online. According to a recent Telpress analysis, between January and April 2025 the topic generated Almost 8 thousand mentions between social networks, blogs and sector sites. The impression exceeded 23 million, with over 450 thousand interactions. YouTube and Instagram are the most active platforms, but the phenomenon is transversal. The dark side of beauty: the beauty burnout

Next to the enthusiasm, growing growth emerges: it is called Beauty Burnout. It is lo stress caused by the continuous research of an impeccable aspect. Between skincare, continuous aesthetic appointments and social feed full of “perfection”, beauty becomes a real duty, no longer a pleasure. Tiring rituals multiply, expenses out of control and a sense of widespread inadequacy, especially among the youngest women. YouTube is the most active channel in this sense, followed by sector sites, Instagram and Facebook. Post analysis reveals that 66% have a positive tone, but over 11% show negative feelings. In short, the social pressure is strong, the border between self -care and the obsession thinks more and more and the skincare becomes almost a job.

Attention to false experts (and too low prices)

It is not just an emotional theme: there are also concrete risks. There SimeItalian Society of Aesthetic Medicine, warns on danger of illegal treatments practiced by those who are not. The advice is simple: before relying on someone, always check that he is registered in the Order of Doctors. Too low prices, unauthorized products and improvised professionals can really put health at risk. Aesthetic medicine is a serious discipline, which requires training and competence. The good news? A healthier approach is making its way. Interest in natural beauty, regenerative medicine and inner well -being is growing. Less shortcuts, more authenticity. The goal is to find balance: rediscover self -care as a gesture of love, not as an obligation to be respected.
