Young Ajax had more than three quarters of a game one man more against leader PEC Zwolle. Goalkeeper Jasper Schendelaar took red. Only once was the surplus situation taken advantage of via Kristian Hlynsson, but in a brilliant way: 1-1.
Lennart Thy had the first chance after four minutes, but he put the ball in the hands of Tom de Graaff. Thy remained the most dangerous man with the Zwolle people. For example, a hard shot was turned into the short corner and Dean Huiberts tapped the ball on the post. Earlier, the German striker had already headed a dangerous ball on the goal. The moment PEC Zwolle increasingly took the upper hand, it had to continue with ten men.
Jasper Schendelaar came far out of his goal area and missed the ball completely. As a result, the former goalkeeper of AZ and Telstar was allowed to shower earlier. Despite the lower number, PEC still had a good chance through Davy van den Berg. He shot the ball just wide of the goal via an Ajax player.

Unexpected equalizer
After the break it was Zwolle that created the first chance. After a nice attack, Haris Medunjanin (former AZ) shot the ball past. A little later he was the celebrated man on Zwolle’s side. The Bosnian shot the ball hard behind De Graaff: 1-0. The leader of the first division took the lead with ten men. Christian Rasmussen only provided Jong Ajax with the first chance fifteen minutes before the end. Defender Kik Pierie forced Mike Hauptmeijer to a great save moments later.
