Beau van Erven Dorens is one of the bigger stars of RTL 4, although his career is going downhill a bit. That interview he held with Gordon, in which Beau offered him space to smear his ex-fiancée, was an extremely big mistake, but his talk show is also not what it used to be. It looks like Beau is bored.

Sky high

Is that correct? Yes, Beau gives in the Weekend generously admits that he can imagine a life out of the spotlight. “Yes, very well indeed. It also bothers me less and less. I used to really enjoy being in the spotlight, but now I have less need for it.”

However, he says he still learns from TV colleagues. “Yes, I always learn from Jeroen Pauw. As a talk show host he is relaxed and sharp at the same time. He is young and a bit older at the same time. It really ranks high at the top for me. And as entertainment host, Ruben Nicolai is at the top. But far at the top.”

Three stars

Which TV women does Beau like? “I like Carrie ten Napel and Hélène Hendriks is really good. She is very sharp. She keeps smiling and is very tight. Carrie and I once presented a gala together and I already liked her so much. It is still difficult as a woman to get involved in this world and I think she does that very well.”

There are three stars that Beau believes belong to the top. “Chantal Janzen still does too. He can dance, is sharp, has a sense of humor. I look up to Chantal, Ruben and Jeroen.”
