Beau van Erven Dorens and Humberto Tan had the veto right to stop the arrival of Albert Verlinde to their talk show RTL Tonight, but did not block that. “They both said yes.”
It caused a lot of surprise: the switch from Albert Verlinde of the country’s most viewed talk show today inside to the new competitor RTL Tonight. Why? That show is presented by Beau van Erven Dorens and Humberto Tan and with both gentlemen – especially with the latter – Albert has a difficult and turbulent past.
Old wounds
Albert, together with Beau, has still raised the popular RTL Boulevard, but the men often had a fight with each other. With Humberto Albert was recently upset: the show connoisseur was sentenced three years ago because he accused Humberto of cross -border behavior at RTL Late Night.
How is the contact exactly with such a Humberto? Have they already talked? “Yes, in recent years”, Albert responds to the desk of Shownieuws. “That is the beautiful, isn’t it? That Albert and Humberto are now becoming colleagues is completely unexpected. “I was asked by Welmoed Sijtsma and Sam Hagens if I wanted to be such a sidekick once a week as Jort Kelder. I didn’t want that, because I was at VI and why would I do something else in the summer?”
“I told Peter and he said,” But don’t you have a contract with Talpa? ” I said, “I don’t have that.” I said, “I’ll hear it.” He called a week later and said: “I want to talk about it, but first call those three men what they think”, because when Humberto says, “I don’t need it,” and when Beau says: “I don’t have to …” I never had anything with Renze! “
Fantastic idea
So Beau and Humberto had a veto right. “But they all thought it was a fantastic idea and then the ball started rolling. Of course you sometimes have a lot with someone, but you always have to try to visit each other again.”
Is it no longer uncomfortable at all? “No, not at all. We have now taken two pilots. One has presented Beau and one Humberto. Certainly with Beau, with whom I worked for years, it is a bit of it: we’re again!”
