Beatles legend Ringo Starr, 82, fell ill with corona

The veteran drummer plans to get up from the sickbed to the stage.

You wouldn’t believe Ringo Starr to be over 80 years old. PDO

The ever-young Beatles drummer Ringo Starr, 82, has had to raise his hand. Corona has knocked him down and the man has to rest.

Ringo’s band, All-Starr, was about to go on tour, but the plans had to be put on hold due to the corona virus.

– Ringo hopes to recover as soon as possible so that the tour can start. He is recovering at home. And as always, he and the entire All-Star crew are sending peace and love to all their fans. Hope to see you soon! the band informs.

Ringo celebrated his 82nd birthday in the summer with the Peace and Love party.

The man has been in a hurry, because his band already went on a big tour in the spring.

Despite his rough life, Ringo has remained healthy even in his eighties. Even in the 1970s and 80s, he suffered from severe alcoholism and drug addiction. In the late 1980s, Ringo sought treatment and got sober.

Ringo, on the other hand, was sick as a child.

At the age of six, he fell ill with appendicitis and further peritonitis, which caused him to fall into a coma for several days and was hospitalized for a year.

At the age of 13, Ringo contracted tuberculosis and moved to a sanatorium for two years. It was there that he first got excited about playing the drums.

– On the music day, tambourines, maracas, triangles and small drums were brought to us. From that moment I wanted to be a drummer. When I got out of hospital I went to music shops in Liverpool just to look at drums. It was my dream when I was 13 years old and that dream is still developing, Ringo has said.

In 2020, Ringo spent 11 weeks in corona quarantine at his home in Los Angeles. He played music, painted and enjoyed the sun.

Now Korona got to strike.
