Beating for Telstar against champion candidate PEC Zwolle

Telstar lost the first home game of the season 5-0 to PEC Zwolle. Landu scored the first goal for the visitors in the second minute of the game. Eight minutes later it was Zwolle striker Vellios with the second goal of the evening.

It soon became clear that Telstar was going to have a tough evening. Even before the break it was Landu with his second. Mike Snoei’s team didn’t do much in return.

Different game system

With a triple substitution Snoei tried to change the game. Also, the 5-3-2 system went into the trash and Telstar went 4-3-3. That resulted in chances for Apau and Blommestijn. Still, the home team got the lid on the nose. Görlach managed to tap in from close range. It all got even worse for Telstar, because in the final phase it was Van den Belt who managed to head in.

Setup Telstar: Koeman; Mulder, Apau, Oude Kotte, Bensabouh, Kruiver (Seedorf/46); Najah, Overtoom (Dijkstra/46), Ainsalu (Liesdek/46); Plet (Smit/82), Blommestijn (Van den Heerik/66)
