Defeating Ajax 5-3 in the Dutch Super Cup final, PSV took the trophy to its museum.
In the match played at the Johan Cruyff Arena in the capital city of Amsterdam, the last league champion Ajax faced the Dutch Cup champion PSV.
Guus Til (3), Cody Mathes Gakpo and Xavi Simons scored the cup-winning goals for PSV, while Steven Bergwijn, Antony and Muhammed Kudus scored Ajax’s goals.
Bringing Ruud van Nistelrooy as coach, PSV succeeded in winning the trophy for the 13th time.
