The woman (71) opened the door to her apartment in an apartment building on Briesestrasse around 2:30 p.m. after the doorbell rang.

“Using countless kicks and punches to the woman’s head and upper body, two men, who remained unknown, broke into the apartment of the 71-year-old victim, bound and gagged her and then searched her apartment,” a police spokesman described on Friday what happened next happened.

The robbers didn’t take care of the woman, but stole cash and valuables and simply left the motionless senior citizen behind!

After the brutal robbery, the woman got up, freed herself and called the police. The rescue workers took the seriously injured 71-year-old to the hospital.

“The investigation is ongoing and has initially been taken over by a homicide squad due to the massive use of force,” said the spokesman.
