The animal keepers at Tierpark Berlin must have thought: They probably want to untie a bear (kuskus) on us!

Just last summer, the bear kuskus couple Garret and Duza moved to Berlin from the Wroclaw Zoo. And then you don’t pay attention for a moment, there are already three bear kisses (or does that mean bear kisses??) – in the enclosure!

It is estimated that the well-hidden offspring is already half a year old! But only now have the animal keepers discovered the little one. “Even only because it looks out of Mama Duza’s belly bag,” said a spokeswoman for the zoo.

Similar to kangaroos, these cute animals are tiny as jelly beans when they are born. Nevertheless, they have to crawl through their mother’s fur into the safe and warm pouch all by themselves.

“As long as they don’t look out there, you hardly ever notice that there are offspring.” So the joy in the Alfred Brehm House is all the greater.
