Another for Eintracht Braunschweig follows the sporting success with relegation: the cup deposit brings a high proceeds. The BTSV says “Thank you”.
At every home game, the plastic cups fly from the ranks of the Eintracht stadium to the plastic career. The blue tartan track is often covered by the supposed rubbish. But what some should dismiss as unaesthetically has a deeper purpose: Eintracht Braunschweig collects the cup deposit and uses it for social projects.
For the past season, BTSV released the numbers on Wednesday-and drew a “sensational” conclusion: 54,956 euros were raised in a total of 19 home games (including DFB Cup and relegation secondary), the statement said. “Many thanks for the outstanding support,” the association writes.
André Linder, Managing Director of Eintracht Braunschweig Foundation, is enthusiastic about the result. “This year’s donation result is outstanding again,” he says. “For our various projects in the foundation and for external institutions, the generated funds are of enormous importance, because they help where financial support is urgently needed.” His thanks go to fans, supporters and volunteers who help with the cup powers.
The coordination of the collected donations has been in the hands of the Eintracht Braunschweig Foundation since the 2021/22 season. Before each match day, she announces which institution or for which project the money is collected. In addition to the cups in the interior, there are other piking revenues through plastic containers in the eight collective containers that are in the stadium circulation.
According to the club, some projects could be supported again with the beaker. For example, money in the supply bus, which the Maltese and the fan department of the BTSV operates, flowed into the Braunschweig AIDS aid and further projects by Eintracht Braunschweig Foundation.
