BDR nominates 20 athletes for Cross-EM

The Federation of German Cyclists (BDR) is traveling with 20 athletes to the European Cross Country Championships in Namur, Belgium (November 5th/6th).

The squad was announced by the BDR on Tuesday. The competitions will take place over the weekend in six age groups. The BDR reported the most starters in the U23 male class (8). In the men’s elite class, hopes rest on German champion Marcel Meisen.

“The route in Namur is very demanding, technically and conditionally one of the most difficult World Cup routes,” said national coach Wolfgang Ruser, who expects Belgians and Dutchmen in particular to take the medals.
